What does a day at Real Recovery look like?2022-08-23T13:06:48-04:00

We wake up at 8am on the weekdays and 9am on the weekends. Each morning residents get up and conduct a morning meditation. Morning meditation consists of a reading from a “day by day” book for recovering individuals that is followed by everyone going around and stating what they plan on doing for the day. This provides a level of accountability and structure.

Upon arrival, each new resident completes an assessment with a member of our clinical team to determine if our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) or Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) should be incorporated into their first two months at Real Recovery. Most men and women are a good fit for the intensive outpatient. The classes are every Monday, Tuesday and Friday from 9:30am to 12:30pm. During the days IOP is not conducted, residents are kept busy with various activities. PHP sessions are Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm.

We are a long-term program, so not all of our men and women are at the same stage of recovery. Some will be going immediately to work; some may be going on a hike or going swimming. All of our residents receive a gym pass to Gold’s Gym. We require each resident to go to at least 4 group meetings a week (Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous or Celebrate Recovery) that are outside of the house.

Each resident’s program is specially created to suit their needs. We know where our residents are 24/7 and always keep parents informed along the way.
