Understand Client Needs

Every person’s recovery journey is unique. The team at Real Recovery collaborates with you, your family and your sober living treatment providers to develop an individualized sober living treatment plan & path to recovery. The plan is customized to help you incorporate sobriety into a meaningful, purposeful, autonomous and fun life. Here’s what you can expect your time here to look like.

Determine Correct Level of Care

Clients whose sober living treatment needs require more than our team can provide will be referred to a trusted and appropriately matched inpatient program. Some clients will need primary treatment prior to entering Real Recovery.

Develop Recovery Plan

The individualized recovery plan is holistic and incorporates the specific needs of each individual. Each plan addresses the psychological, spiritual, financial, educational and vocational needs of the client.

Structured Sober Living and Supported Integration

All clients receive a comprehensive clinical assessment upon arrival and receive a clinical programming recommendation that is based on their unique needs and medical requirements. Intensive Outpatient Programming for substance abuse may be recommended for clients who have not previously participated in addiction treatment, typically for the first 6-9 weeks of residency. Other clients might participate in individual or family therapy, and some may be referred to outpatient psychiatric treatment. Each resident has a recovery plan designed to meet their specific needs.

Build Relationships with Peers

Through our Outdoor Recovery Program, 12-step meetings and house activities, residents participate in a peer-support model of recovery that honors each person’s path to recovery.

Participate in Structured Recovery

House meetings, structured activities and house managers who have the subjective experience of early recovery ensure that each client is supported in the transition into real recovery.

Receive Mentoring and Support

Real Recovery focuses on helping clients to forge meaningful paths in sobriety. Early recovery is often difficult; coping with the realities of life without substances to fall back on can be challenging for even the most motivated individual. Residents receive support in money management, life skills and vocational and educational development. Assistance with employment and career selection and the employment application process are all aspects included in our sober living program, as well as transportation to and from work.

Gain More Responsibilities in Transitional Living

The ultimate goal of Real Recovery is to support clients in becoming productive and autonomous in recovery.

At this state in the men’s program, clients will move into River House, the transitional living program at Real Recovery. Providing more autonomy than the Pinnacle House or Dream House, River House helps young men begin their transition into independent living. Residents begin seeking permanent independent living arrangements and look to begin their life of recovery.

In the women’s program, clients become more autonomous and receive assistance and support from staff in seeking employment and living arrangements after their departure from Grace House.
